First off i think that this book was pretty good. It showed The struggles of the civil war and what they went through. I now know that back then the south had nothing and the north had everything. The wars back then were 10* brutal than the wars today. A lot of people got killed in the war to make our freedom and the freedom of the south.
I know now that the war was brutal
I learned a lot from this book. I learned that Charlie is a very brave and determined. Also i learned that anyone can die in a war. Even if you might not think that you will die you still can. Another thing i learned is that you may think war is fun but it isn't you can seriously get hurt for the rest of your life or even worse die.
At the begining of the book I thought it was kind of interesting. Charley was very brave. I learned a lot about how life was back in the Civil War. A lot of people died for different causes. This war was a very important part of history.
I thought the book was okay, not the best i've read. Charlie was a pretty determianed guy, wanting to go to war at the age of 15. I've learned that the war back then was pretty tough. Im sure the killing of men decreased over time. The early wars i think are worse then todays.
The book was great on the information that it gave. If gave an insight on what you would have done if you were in Charley's shoes. Thougt you could not be in that time you could live throught Charley's eyes and feel what he was feeling in that time period.
I think the boook was pretty good. I learned a few things. One thing i learned was that the civil war was the bloodiest battle in history. The second thing is there are many young men who joined the war who werent old enough. And that the civil war freed all the slaves in the south.
I really like is book. It told you what happens in the war if you would like to be in the war. It all so tells you how he had to get food.
I thought this book was good because there was always sumthing new happining. It showed how hard the soilders fought for our country and how brave they were. The wars back then were worse hen the wars now a days because alot more men died in the wars back then. This book also explained ho hard it was on the soilders through out the wars they only had a small ration of food to eat each day.
This is an OK book, not exactly my type of book. I did learn some things about the war, in charley's point of view, instead of just facts about the war. I learned how frightening and brutal battle can be to a person. You almost have to expect death when you go into battle. You never know when you could die. I also learned about what charley thought of the war. Not a bad book, it was just OK.
The soldier’s heart was a very interesting book. I love the civil war and that book made a clear description of what the civil war was truly like. I learned how gory and bloody the civil war was. I learned that it took a low conscience and a strong heart. You also had to be tough enough to go for weeks with nothing more than minimal food. I learned a lot about the civil war with this book. I think it would be pretty cool to fight in it though. It would be a good way to separate the boys from the men. I would have joined the war just to experience a true battle and to live to say I lived through it.
I really liked this book. I thought it was interesting to see Charley at first think it was going to be fun, but then realize what war was really like. I think it even showed some of our kids how terrible war really is. Some kids thought it would be awesome to go shoot stuff with a high powered gun but now realize that it wouldn’t be fun cause the bullets would be right back at them. I think this book teaches us to really be thankful that you’re too young to go to war.
I think that this was a very good book. It showed the hardships that people had to face back then in that war. Many people think that war would be fun but this book shows you what it is really like. I also learned that this book has some very imoportant parts of history in it. Every thing that happened in the book happened in the real world.

I learned a ton of information from this book. I am glad we read it, because it was short and was filled with excitement. i learned charley was very brave, strong, and caring. I would not have been able to do half the things he did.
I think this was an okay book, not the best though. Wanted to go to the war at age 15 was probably not a good choice. Supporting your country is one thing, but just wanting to go is another. war was pretty tough back then too, so it must not have been easy for him either.
I learned that Charlie is a determined. I can't beleive the acuracy of the book. It showed the hardships of the war and how people survived. The war was a complicated thing and ths book cleared most of it up.

I thought the book was kinda interesting, but not really interesting.
I believe that this is one of the best books that I have ever read. This is one of the best books that I have read because it was very suspenseful because, we didn’t know if he was going to live or going to get shot. This was a very interesting because I am interested in war books. I like these books, because it is exciting.

I thought this book was ok. It Taught about how war really was. I would recommend it as an easy read.

I thought this book was terrible. I did not like it. I like easy books and this one was hard. There was only a couple good parts in it.
I thought this book was ok, but not great. From this book I learned that many teenagers joined the war under a false age. I also learned that the north had plenty of supplies when compared to the south who had almost nothing. I also learned just how many bullets were being fired at once for two bullets to collide and fuse in the air.

I think this book was good. It showed the harden times of the civil war. This book gives you an idea of what war was like. It showed what war was like when they sent big groups of people walking in lines.

I think that it was an ok book. It tought me alot about the things that the soldiers had to go through. It gave me a new view on soldiers.

Ya this book wasnt to bad. It was pretty cool that a 15 year old kid could go into war and kick some BOOTY and kill people. this book was kinda hard in a weird kinda sorta way.But ya im done
I myself found this book A Soldiers Heart to be very intriguing. It really opened my eyes to what the men in the Civil War had to face. Back in that time there was no automatic weapons and updated medicine for the men to use at there disposal. It sure makes me greatful to live in this time period and not in that one.

I think that this was a very good book. It shows you how hard life was back then and how people had to survive. It also shows you the hardships of war. It shows you what war is really like instead of what everybody imagines what it is like. All in all, I think that this was a very good book.
